"BPM in China?"
| That’s what we’ve been hearing a lot of lately from our clients, as well as from our coworkers. And it's true. BPM recently completed an audit on a China-based company in the "tiny" city of Anyang, population approximately 1 million (in a country with 1.2 billion people, everything is relative). The assignment was to audit a coal coke manufacturing company with aspirations of one day being listed on NASDAQ. We sent over a dedicated team consisting of Vivienne Sun, Gina Liu, Leo Chan, Josh Hachadourian, and Michael Benjamin. Despite the language barrier or the fact that the company had never undergone an audit, our auditors, several of who are fluent in Mandarin, were able to complete the audit on time. “It was really a challenge," remarked Benjamin, “but our team did a fantastic job of working with the client. We developed a team spirit and really worked hard and smart to get everything completed.” | |||

| After an adventurous day of travel, the team arrived at Anyang around midnight, tired but eager to meet with the client the next morning. | |||

| "We really worked well together as a team," said Leo, Gina and Vivienne, all pictured here with Josh and their company guides outside the gate of the Shaolin Temple. ***** To find out more about the China Initiative, contact Michael Benjamin, BPM Shareholder, at (415) 288-6294 or email him at mbenjamin@bpmcpa.com. |
